Dependent/Family KITAS Expats working and living in Indonesia may want to bring their family to live with them long-term in Indonesia. A Dependent/Family KITAS is needed for each family member to make this happen. Note however that a Dependent KITAS does not allow the holder to work in Indonesia. If the Dependent KITAS holder wants to work, they can apply for IMTA. The IMTA only allows for part-time work, and the worker must also register an NPWP (Tax Number) and submit an annual Individual Tax Report.

If the Dependent KITAS holder finds a full-time job in Indonesia, then they will need to obtain a Work KITAS and the new employer as the KITAS sponsor.
